Almost Halfway
The 100 Day Project is an ambitious journey. Each year I swear I won't do it again. This is at least my fourth year participating and I really believe I have found the way to complete the process. Scrapbook it. And combine it with whatever else is going on. In Creative Crafty Friends we are working on daily journaling, so I combined the two. And sometimes I fall behind - like now - then I have to play catchup. These pages are for days 36 and 37 of the project. I am working in a Harmony hot pressed watercolor journal from Hahnemühle and I love that because it can take a bunch of water! I can use crazy color! Like these Dylusions Ink Sprays. I haven't worked with them in a long time. I used three colors for this page: lemon zest, fresh lime and bubblegum pink. My favorites! If you click on the picture you can see it enlarged. I was able to include some of the Frankles' drawing on this page. So exciting!
Days 38 and 39. I received a package from Jet Pens in the mail this week - some birthday fun for the Frankles. On the receipt was this cute comic strip. And it made me laugh! And Mark, too! Cause yeah, I have a pen or two. Hahahahaha! That quote block is a piece of my art that I added the words to in Photoshop. I saw it on Tracy's page and wanted to preserve the saying. The paper for all my tiles is Bristol from Hahnemühle. And the big news with this spread is I got my first covid vaccination.
Days 40 and 41. Look! I used red! All the color in the background is bits of gelli prints made with my gel printing plate from Gelli Arts. And one of them was mostly red! Hahahahaha! I hate red! But it looks good here.
That bunny is delightful - so lovely the way you're preserving other people's art as part of your pages. I can see your skill scrapbooking skills coming out from wherever they were hiding & love the way you've been able to combine them with your tangling & love of colour. It's going to be quite a project with all 100 days complete but lovely for you to look back on.
