GratitangleZ, Finish Strong

Image
I am almost done with my GratitangleZ project for November. I usually work about one week ahead so I can stay on top of things. GratitangleZ is a great project hosted by the Facebook group of the same name. Each week you tangle the pattern for the day while thinking about something you are thankful for. You can work in any format you wish. As you can see I am working on a template. All the patterns are in place - I still need to shade and finish the framing lines around the outside. I'll show it to you when I am done. Template not for you? You can tangle the daily pattern in a journal, on a tile, on a two inch twinchie - any way you choose is the right way. You can not mess this up. I promise.  This is the template I used. I just printed it out on the computer, then traced it onto this 10.5" square tile I had already added color to. If you want to just print it and tangle I would suggest printing it on card stock.  Here are the last six tangles for the month.  And that'

GratitangleZ - It's Another Week

My tile for GratitangleZ 2023 is coming right along! I have the tangles for November 1 - 24 on this tile, with the exception of two that I substituted something else for. And I used two in one space. There are six more days to come in the project and I have nine spaces left to fill. I have an idea to narrow that down to seven spaces. You will have to wait and see until next week! Hahahaha!  As a refresher - this is the template I am using this month. GratitangleZ is a project from another group on Facebook. They provided the list of tangles/patterns for the month. Each week in my FB group Tangle All Around , I post the patterns for the week and the members of my group come up with some really cool renderings! I would love it for you to tangle along with us. If you scroll back through the last couple posts you can find all the patterns we have used so far.  Let me give you the seven tangles for this week.  Seven tangles for seven days this week. Each day draw one of these patterns on a

GratitangleZ Continues

GratitangleZ continues this week with seven additional tangles. Not familiar with GratitangleZ? The  Facebook group with that same name developed the list of patterns we are using. Tangle All Around is working the project as well and each week I post the new tangles in our group. Each day you tangle the pattern for the day while contemplating your thankfulness. We all have something to be thankful for. You can work on individual tiles, in a journal, or you can work like me. This is a 10.5" tile from Zentangle HQ. I added the color first using three Dylusions Ink Sprays and plenty of water. I even used a couple stencils for some texture. With a lightbox I traced the template in pencil. Then each day of the month I find a space to add the tangle for the day. I am writing what I am thankful for on the back side of the tile. However you do the project is just the right way for you! Let me show you the template I am using.  It actually has 31 spaces which gives me one extra. I p

GratitangleZ 2023

A year has quickly passed and it is already time for another month of thankfulness and gratitude by way of GratitangleZ. Not my program but one I am promoting and participating in on Facebook in Tangle All Around . Each of us has so much to be thankful for. You may think you don't but you do. Even if it is just for one more day. God is faithful and we should be, too.  The thought is each day in the month of November to take the tangle pattern listed for the day and draw it. While you draw reflect on something you are thankful for. Example: when I was drawing Avro on the first day of this month I thought about how thankful I am to be able to participate again this year. There were days last year when I wasn't sure I would even be alive for GratitangleZ in 2023. But like I said earlier . . . God is faithful. And I will never forget it. Thank you, Lord, for one more day.  Prep for the month was easy. FB group GratitangleZ selected the patterns. I set up a photo album of all the

Swapping Fun in Color

Want to see a post full of beautiful color? Then you are in the right place! Hahaha! You know how I am with color. The brighter the better! In FB group Creative Crafty Friends some of us are participating in a monthly swap. We take two sheets of letter size paper, fold them in half, then trim them so the pages are 5"x 7" in size. That gives us eight work surfaces to artify. And let me tell you that is a lot of pages to fill up! Above you see the back and front of one of my pages. I love how they turned out - sad that I had to send them away. I used Ranger's distress inks for the background. Swirled on with a blending tool . The critters are from Chris Ryniak , I colored them with Copic markers. I also used stencils, Zig dot pens , Posca paint pens, and watercolors.  These are the inside pages of that first page. The strip across the bottom is from Dylusions. I colored it, the lion and girl and the cute little bulldog with Copics. I also used Ranger distress inks, a
