God is Good All The Time

This is me. Lover of dragons, bright color and happy things. Kitties, squirrels, chipmunks, and now we add a fox to the mix. Along with our moose and bear. But the last couple months have been rough. Many of you know I have been dealing with some health issues and a lot of uncertainty. But through it all one thing remains and that is God is good and He is in control. Once I got over the shock, I made a conscious decision that I wasn't going to accept anything less than 100% recovery. Operation 100% and now Mark, Carol, myself and you know that little fact. I needed to put a timeline together for the Pulmonologist, and I wanted it documented for myself. That is what I am sharing with you today. A timeline with pretty colors :).

And that is where things stand at this point. Still waiting to hear from a pulmonologist - we still need to find out why all that fluid happened in the first place. Those doctors are all tied up with Covid patients and do not have time for 'regular' patients. Please continue to pray for me, pray that the fluid doesn't come back and that we can eventually figure out how to avoid it in future. And to those who pray faithfully for me know that you are loved and appreciated more than I could ever tell you. God is good all the time, all the time God is good.

  2. Oh my, Alice, thank you for sharing your journey - what a wringer you've been through! You poor dear, but it looks like you are keeping a stiff and most colorful, faith-filled upper lip - amen! Sending huge hugs and keeping you close in my daily thoughts and prayers.

  3. Wow! What a trip you've been on! Glad things are settled down!
I found out I have aplastic anemia and went in for ATGam treatment just as the lockdown commenced. Been a crazy year and a half with ups and downs. Not a fun time, at all, but, even worse during a pandemic, eh?
Hang in there! It's about all I know to do!
    Hugs,

    Su

  5. Prayer continues - it's good to keep these timelines for things become much clearer & memory is impossible with such things. Yes, He is good all of the time & knows how to sustain us even when it looks quite bleak. I know that sounds glib but it's true in a way I cannot even describe nor explain. Take care & much love

  6. Glad to hear things are on the mend. Your story reminded me of my cousin. She experienced many of the same things and her final diagnosis was GERD. Take good care.

  7. Marisela Delgado said: Hola, Alice! I just commented on your Doodlewash review. So sorry about your health issues, but the best thing on your side is your faith in the Lord. I totally get how you feel. Just over 8 years ago, I suffered a freak accident. I cut a varicose vein while shaving my legs. I went from running 5 miles every day to barely able to stand or walk. I was only 42 y/o. It turned life-threatening pretty quick and was the catalyst for multiple painful injuries and scary, scary complications. I faced surgery twice. I am just now seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Through it all, the Lord was there. When the pain was so bad (pain meds don't work on me) and I considered ending my own life, it was the Lord, Who saw me through. So, don't give up and don't lose your focus on the Lord. Remember when Peter stepped out of the boat onto the water? When he took his eyes off of Jesus, he sank. The Lord is with you. Trust Him to lead you out of the dark. ☺ Your work is beautiful. I am a rubber stamper, who makes cards and uses watercoloring every now and then to color my cards. Have a beautiful weekend. Maine, huh? That's REAL Winter. I'm in San Antonio, Texas and we don't do real Winter. Back in February, when we got a freak snow storm and 9*F, girl, we were terrified and thought the world was ending. haha Our mayor said, "Thank God it was only for a week. Imagine people who do this every year?!" haha Warm hugs, my friend. I will be praying. Pray for me also. ☺☺☺ Marisela Delgado ☺☺☺ mariandmonsterd@yahoo.com

  8. I have so missed your blog as I looked forward to seeing the lovely art you create every day. I didn't know how to reach out to you, but now that I know you have been ill, your absence makes sense! You are in my prayers--and will continue to be! Your faith is a testimony for all of us who rely on a merciful God to heal us, to comfort us, to be present for us. Keep the faith, and stay safe!
